Description: Cosmos bipinnatus
C.bipinnatus Seashells. Frost sensitive annual growing to 90-120 cm.
A strikingly different new cosmos. Uniquely formed flowers with rolled, quilled petals create the impression of seashells surrounding a yellow button eye. Very free flowering in a range of colours including white, pinks and crimson. Some are bi-colours other tow toned. Bother flowers and the fern-like foliage are ideal for cutting, so easy they seem to thrive on neglect.
When to sow:
Commence sowing in Spring, right through Summer. A January sowing with ensure Autumn flowers.
