This is extremely hardy and stately old favourite produces long stemmed torches and blooms above clumps of stiff rush like leaves. Flowers will usually appear in Spring but where Winters are severe Summer flowering is more likely. These are frost resistant perennials that grow to a height of 75-90 cm.
