Spring Onion Ishikuro

Description:

A new type of spring onion. Forms thick, white non-bulbing straight stalks unlike other varieties it can be picked any time from when it is young and thin right through to 60-90 cm high and 3 cm in diameter. This avoids the need for regular 3 week sowing as you can simply harvest it as required. It is especially tender and excellent for all meals requiring onion or leek. The flavour is stronger than leek but not as strong as most onions.
