Swiss Chard Disco Mix
|When to sow||Spring / Autumn Sowing|
|Germination||Easy (10-14 days)|
Swiss Chard Disco is an award winning vegetable with brightly coloured stems including red, purple, pink, gold, orange, white and pastel varieties. Leaves are bronze or green and lightly savoyed. Baby leaves are suitable in a salad mix whilst the mature leaves should be treated like spinach. The variations in colour produce subtle differences in the taste with flavours generally being milder than ordinary chard. With its unique colour variations Swiss Chard Disco also has bedding and ornamental possibilities.
When to sow:
Almost all year round although it is best to avoid the very hot or the very frosty cold months.
